'Outlander' season 4: First picture of Jamie in the New World
“Outlander” season 4 is heading to the New World, and Jamie (Sam Heughan) will be dashing as ever. Viewers have already seen a glimpse of the Frasers in America in a teaser trailer. Now, a new behind-the-scenes picture has been released online.
The picture (see below) shows Jamie wearing his trademark lager jacket and a tricorn hat. The Scotsman appears to be at a town market in an American colony. This could be a scene before he and his wife take a “dead body” on a carriage in the middle of the night.
Fans will remember the teaser that showed Jamie and Claire (Caitriona Balfe) taking a carriage with suspicious cargo when they were stopped by a few Redcoats. Even though the Frasers are in America, the British had a strong grip on the colonies during this time.
Jamie has come a long way from Scotland. Over the years, he has travelled to different countries and has faced trouble there. Co-executive Producer Matthew B. Roberts had even shared a picture of Heughan with a few extras dressed as Redcoats from the first season (see below). The actor is wearing a kilt and a thick jacket to keep himself warm on the outdoor set.
The kilt is now gone, but Jamie’s trouble with the Redcoats continues. The Scotsman and his wife will be facing a new enemy his time around. Ed Speelers will be playing the role of pirate and smuggler Stephen Bonnet, a character who fans will soon love to hate.
“Outlander” season 4 is set to premiere sometime later this year. Filming is currently taking place in Scotland, with the cast and crew expected to wrap up soon. The show will then go into post-production.
