'Outlander' season 4: A new director joins the team
The “Outlander” family continues to grow each year. A new director has started working on the set of season 4. Co-executive producer Maril Davis, who was there recently, shared a picture of them together.
Filming is currently ongoing in Scotland, where Davis is to oversee the production. The producer shared the image (see below) of herself with new director Denise Di Novi. Commenting on the post, co-executive producer Matthew B. Roberts added that Di Novi is “fabulously talented.”
She may be a newcomer to the “Outlander” TV series, but Di Novi is a veteran in the industry. She is mostly known for her work as a producer and has a long list of titles to her credit. Some popular movies she has worked on include “Heathers,” “Original Sin,” “Crazy, Stupid, Love,” “The Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants” and “Catwoman.”
Recently, Di Novi has been trying her hand as a director. She has already directed an episode of the highly popular “Bones” series.
After Maril shared the picture from the production set, Di Novi received a warm welcome from the “Outlander” community. Some fans have been following her work for years, and they are happy that she has joined the team.
Meanwhile, production designer Jon Gary Steele also shared a picture from the set, just like he does every year.
The “Outlander” TV series is known for painstakingly portraying accurate renditions of certain time periods through attention to detail in terms of set and costume. This year, fans will get to see the earthen crockery that Jamie (Sam Heughan) and Claire (Caitriona Balfe) will use in their new home in America.
