"Outlander" is currently on a mid-season break. The Starz hit historical drama has garnered immense attention and has proved to be a major force in the television career of its lead actors Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe. The mid-season's last episode ended with a major twist where Sam's character Jamie Fraser comes under ire of Captain Black Jack Randall as he takes charge to save Claire Randall (Balfe).

The first half of season 1 also witnessed the wedding and intense love making scenes between Claire and Jamie. The finale ended with Claire left to choose between her two lives. The cliff-hanger would be resolved when "Outlander" returns from its mid-season break in April, 2015. However, the anticipation in regard to the series is high and executive producer Ron Moore has revealed some interesting details about the upcoming episodes.

Reportedly, Jamie would find himself locked behind the bars in the prison of Wentworth where as Geillis Duncan would pay penance for being a witch. Moreover, Jamie's father would have a key role to play and his character would be explored in detail, according to reports by TV Line.

"it's pretty intense stuff, and I think it's going to really surprise people. There will be a flashback in a subsequent episode where we will revisit that episode at Fort William, and we'll identify Brian more clearly," said Moore to TV Line.

Show runner, Ronald D Moore, also said in his recent interview to Entertainment Weekly that there are some psychologically challenging scenes in the store and the sex scenes would not be turned into a soft porn.Furthermore, it has been revealed that Jamie would have some immensely painful scenes and would go through some intense emotions. "Outlander" is based on book series by Diana Gabaldon and is a story of nurse Claire Randal who travels back in time and gets entangled between two lives.
