'Outlander' stars Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe adorn the cover of Saks Fifth Avenue catalog
“Outlander” stars Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe appear in fashion catalog of Saks Fifth Avenue. The actors spoke about the clothes they wore for the shoot and talked about their personal lives, like where they grew up and favourite fashion item.
Pictures of Heughan and Balfe appear in the men’s and women’s fashion catalog respectively. Both that actors are featured in the March issue of Saks Fifth Avenue. Heughan appears in a blue suit while Balfe can be seen wearing a red dress in the cover photos.
Heughan also wore a grey suit for the fashion catalog, while Balfe wore a white frock. Their interview also appears in the March issue of the catalog. “I don’t think I was really needed,” Heughan joked. “The clothes did all the work.” The actor revealed that his hometown is Dumfries and Galloway and that he grew up in converted stables on the grounds of Kenmure Castle.
Heughan, who plays the role of Jamie in the TV series, said that if he wasn’t an actor he would have been an athlete or chef/bartender, as he loves sports and good food. The actor revealed that his favourite fashion item was his leather jacket, which he apparently can’t live without.
Balfe (Claire), on the other hand revealed that her favourite historical cameo in “Outlander” Season 2 is Prince Charles ( Andrew Gower). The actress said that if she wasn’t an actress she would have been a journalist or a writer. While not working, Balfe prefers jeans and leather jacket or a dress and flats. “I can be very tomboyish or quite girlie,” she said. Her favorite fashion item is a Saint Laurent leather jacket, which she takes everywhere with her.
Heughan revealed that he was about to lose weight, so he was doing more Muay Thai and yoga. It is not clear when the interview was taken and if the physical requirements were for “Outlander” Season 2.
