'Outlander' TV series: Sam Heughan takes a break from Season 2 filming to tease 'Ultimate Collection' [Watch Video]
Sam Heughan took a break from filming his scenes for “Outlander” Season 2 to tease the items that are a part of the “Ultimate Collection.” The actor appears in a new video posted on the YouTube channel of Sony Pictures Entertainment to show the fans the new product.
The Blu-ray edition with the “Ultimate Collection” was launched on Nov. 3. The box set contains a picture book with behind-the-scenes information and other extras from the first season of the show. The box also contains a “secret compartment” that has pictures of Heughan (Jamie Fraser) and his fellow cast member Caitriona Balfe (Claire Randall). The pictures can be put in a frame and they also come with quotes at the back.
Heughan’s favourite part of the collection is a flask that is “beautifully engraved,” the actor revealed in the video. He suggested that the fans fill the flask with their favourite drink, which may range from whisky to water. Heughan, however, suggested that the flask be filled with whisky and jokingly took the flask for himself.
Exclusive music from the sound track of the “Outlander” TV series is also a part of the “Ultimate Collection.” Heughan also revealed that he will be signing one of the boxes and a lucky fan will get the chance to own the signed collection. Fans have been asked to send tweets to the official Twitter account of the TV series with the hashtag “gift me Outlander” for a chance to win the autographed collection.
The actor pointed out that the “Ultimate Collection” is a “perfect gift” for the holiday season. “Happy holidays,” Heughan said to all his fans on behalf of the cast and crew of the show.
Filming for “Outlander” Season 2 is currently ongoing. Metin Huseyin, Anna Foerster, Mike Barker and Philip John have been confirmed as directors of the show, Outlander TV News reports.
