The video posted on the YouTube channel of “Outlander” Italy, shows the fans what is inside the book. Apart from the pictures from the TV series and some description about the scenes and locations featured on the show, the book also contains DVDs.
The box for the book has a secret compartment, which contains photographs of stills from the TV series. The two main cast members Sam Heughan (Jamie Fraser) and Caitriona Balfe (Claire Randall) can be seen in their costumes in the photographs.
There is also a silver coloured whisky flask in the box. The flask was the “favourite” item in the collection for Heughan. The actor appeared in a video in November to promote the product and jokingly kept the flask in his pocket. The product was released on November 3, 2015.
Heughan had to take a break from filming his scenes for “Outlander” Season 2, in order to appear for the video. The actor had announced at that time that he had signed one of the books and gave the fans a chance to win the autographed book by tweeting about it.
“The Ultimate Collection” is currently available on Amazon at a discounted price of $93.50 (AU $131.34). The list price of the product is $164.99 (AU $231.76). The producers have so far not announced whether there will be another set of collectable items for the second season as well.
“Outlander” Season 2 takes Claire and Jamie to France. The two characters will be getting a new set of costumes that will be different from the first season. The French costumes are made of silk and satin and will showcase the fashion of Paris during the 1740s.
