Outraged Zialloh Abrahimzadeh turned into a murderer after his wife left him. He was accused of domestic violence towards his spouse and children causing him to receive a restraining order from the court less than two weeks ago before the crime happened.

His wife told the court that Abrahimzadeh hits her with his fists, feet and belt to control and punish her and sometimes their children. Their three children will be providing some evidence to be used for the trial.

Prosecutor Sandi McDonald said he was an abusive and violent husband and father, who cannot accept his wife leaving him. He wanted his wife to suffer and pay for what she has done.

Abrahimzadeh went to witness the 2010 Persian New Year's Eve celebration at the Convention Center where his wife and daughter were also attending. But his intention of visiting the place is to kill his wife. He had a knife hidden under his jacket.

Zahra, his wife, noticed his husband's arrival and immediately felt unsecure. Abrahimzadeh approached Zahra right away when she looked into her handbag and immediately stabbed her until she fell down and died.

The people who witnessed the crime tried to help by taking the knife from him, but it was too late. His wife died from eight times of stabbing.

A man accused of stabbing his wife to death at a crowded function at the Adelaide Convention Centre has gone on trial for murder.

According to the prosecution the murderer was assumed to yell at his wife "She's mine! She's done a shameful thing! You betrayed me!" before he attacked.

Abrahimzadeh murdered his wife in front of around 300 guests.
