Owl City Heads For Aussie Tour This November [VIDEOS]
Owl City, the Indie pop band behind the hit song 'Fireflies,' has recently announced that he will be touring in Australia and New Zealand come November of this year.
Front man, Adam Young, is all set and ready to share his 'Midsummer Station World Tour' to all his fans Down Under. It was about two years ago when he was last seen performing several shows in Sydney, Melbourne and Auckland.
Despite being of the independent genre, Owl City enjoyed collaborating with 'Call Me Maybe' singer from Canada, Carly Rae Jepsen. They made a duet entitled 'Good Time.' Young admitted that he is a fan of Jepsen.
It was with Hot Hits that he shared, "I love Carly's song Call Me Maybe. I remember hearing it for the first time and immediately became a huge fan of hers - it is absolutely contagious."
He then later found out after their collaboration that she had seen several of his shows when Owl City toured around Vancouver. "..so I definitely knew I wanted to collaborate with her," Young said.
All tickets to the band's local tour can be boughy by July 16.
