Australia have lost their spot at the top of the ICC ODI rankings for the first time since September 2009, with England the new team at the helm.

South Africa are in second place and India third, while the Australians have fallen to fourth after the annual update.

This is the first time England have topped the ODI championship table since its launch in 2002.

The gap between seventh-placed West Indies and eighth-ranked New Zealand has grown from six to 20 points, while ninth-placed Bangladesh are now only three points behind the Black Caps.

Meanwhile, South Africa have replaced England as the number-one ranked side in the Twenty20 International ranking.

Australia have slipped from sixth to ninth, while the Windies have climbed from eighth to fifth.

Only 11 teams are now ranked on the T20I table. The remaining five sides - Afghanistan, Canada, Kenya, Netherlands and Scotland - have played fewer than eight Twenty20 Internationals since August 2010. They will rejoin the table once they have played eight matches.
