Paedophiles in UK Pay to Watch Online Filipino Children Being Sexually Abused
U.K. paedophiles enjoy watching Filipino children being sexually abused on live webcams. Englishman Timothy Ford is presently serving an 8-and-a-half year imprisonment after he paid £13 to watch five children being sexually abused online.
The revelation is the outcome of a BBC investigation related to child pornography. It was found in one of the cases that 5 children who belonged to a single family were "organised" to be abused by an Englishman. The UK National Crime Agency is going to reveal on Thursday how the agency is working in line with Australian, Philippine and American police for catching child abusers.
One BBC team went to the Philippines and did an investigation in the Ibabao slum near Cebu City, which is considered as the "epicentre" of the criminal trade by local charities. The team was accompanied by police escort with an assault rifle because there were safety issues related to the activities performed.
According to Officer Denis Comunay, cybersex means a lot of "easy money.". He took the team to a small house where nothing much could be found except some dirty mattresses and hanging electric sockets. Mr Comunay called it a "cybersex den." He informed the team that parents brought their children to the place for the "show." They allegedly get paid for letting their children be a part of the show in the house by its owner. Interestingly, when other parents came to know about the "offer," they too brought their children to the place, he said. The house was deserted after a police raid. A 2-year-old child was put into care after the raid.
According to the neighbours, they were completely unaware of what was going on in the house even though they claimed that they were shocked to hear about the child abuse cases there. One of the neighbours argued that it was not possible for anyone to know what was going on behind closed doors. On the contrary, one of the recent surveys revealed that 80 houses in the same locality were a part of the trade.
