‘Pan’ Movie – Hugh Jackman’s Look As Villain Revealed In Picture [Spoilers]

The first few images of Hugh Jackman as the infamous pirate Blackbeard have been released. The other images include that of Levi Miller as the protagonist Peter Pan and a flying ship that seems to be heading towards Neverland, a floating mountain amidst the clouds. [Warning: Spoiler Alert]

Fans of the popular character Peter Pan may find that the upcoming movie "Pan" is very different from the story people are familiar with. The first few images from the movie have been released on EntertainmentWeekly. The images show Hugh Jackman as the dreaded pirate Blackbeard.

According to the report Blackbeard and his pirates will be involved in kidnapping young boys orphaned in war. He will be the captain of a flying ship. One of the images shows him going after the young Peter Pan. This marks a departure from the story that shows Captain Hook as the main villain.

The character Hook will be present in the upcoming movie, but will not be a captain. He is also reportedly not sporting a hook in his arm. The role will be played by Garrett Hedlund, who is described as an Indana Jones figure in "Pan."

Readers who may be concerned about the odd looking hair of Hugh Jackman's character in the images should note that the character will be bald in the movie. The image shown in the report is that of the character wearing a wig in the movie. "This isn't exactly the Neverland story you know," the director Joe Wright said.

"Pan" will tell the origin story of how the young Peter Pan was kidnapped and ended up in Neverland. It will explore how the dangers and the fun he experiences in this new world will ultimately mould his personality and make him the hero who emerges as the leader of the orphans and takes on the pirates.
