Paramount films bought the worldwide rights to the romantic drama Like Crazy during the beginning of the Sundance filmfest this weekend.

The film is directed by Drake Doremus featuring Anton Yelchin, Felicity Jones and Jennifer Lawrence in lead roles. The film is a heartfelt romantic drama about two students who fall madly in love but are kept apart because of visa technicalities.

The improvised drama shows them trying to keep their long distance romance strong while in other relationships. The film's debut was met with enthusiasm with a packed Eccles Theatre on Saturday which only intensified buyer interest in the movie. Other companies that were interested in purchasing the distribution rights included Summit Entertainment and Weinstein Co.

This is the company's latest acquisition during the film festival circuit after its Paramount Vantage division stopped years ago. The movie is seen as an appealing for its portrayal of young love and its up and coming roster of actors.
