Paris Hilton to enter into guilty plea tomorrow, says police
Paris Hilton is set to enter her guilty plea tomorrow in the United States and receive a less severe punishment of a year of probation. Hilton was found in possession of cocaine in her much-talked about Chanel bag which she was quick to disown, even if it is public knowledge courtesy of her Twitter, that she owns it.
On Friday, Clark County District Attorney David Roger said that the plea agreement entails that Paris Hilton complete a drug abuse program, serve 200 hours of community service, and pay a $2,000 fine. In exchange, Paris Hilton's two consecutive six-month sentences in the Clark County Detention Center will be suspended.
"We fashioned a resolution which would give us complete control over [Paris Hilton's] future," Roger was quoted by the Las Vegas Review-Journal, as saying."
If [Paris Hilton] does not toe the line and stay out of trouble, she will do one year in the Clark County Detention Center."
Paris Hilton was arrested by a policeman for suspicion of cocaine possession in Las Vegas late last month. Hilton was with nightclub mogul Cy Waits when they were stopped in a Cadillac driven by Waits near the Wynn resort in Las Vegas.
The policeman smelled marijuana smoke inside the car, and found "a small amount" of substance in Hilton's handbag which tested positive for cocaine.
Hilton was arrested on suspicion of the crime while her boyfriend Waits was arrested on misdemeanor suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol. The two were booked into the Clark County jail, but was later released.
