Paris Hilton reveals she was in Australia when the infamous sex tape was leaked in 2003 by then ex-boyfriend, Rick Solomon, adding that she was ‘in shock’ when she saw a clip of the night of what she thought was an important one she shared with someone she was once in love with.

The reality TV star has told Piers Morgan of CNN in a recent interview that the sex tape, deemed by many as gateway that propelled her to fame and stardom, is an event in her life that she is not proud of, adding regret by saying: “I’ll never be able to erase it”.

“This is not what I planned”, Hilton was quoted as telling Piers Morgan adding: “I did not want to be known as that.”
Hilton expressed regrets on the incident, saying it is something that cannot be undone. And she will have to pay the price “for the rest of [my] life.

“And now when people look at me they think that I'm something I'm not just because of one incident one night with someone who I was in love with,” Hilton said describing how she would feel, after the tape was leaked.

"People assume 'Oh, she's a slut' because of one thing that happened to me and it's hard because I'll have to live with that for the rest of my life and explain it to my children. And it's something that's changed my life forever and I'll never be able to erase it," she continued.

Hilton appeared on Piers Morgan Tonight with her mother as part of her promotional stop for the actress’s upcoming show, “The World According to Paris” by Oxygen Network.

Paris’s mother defended her daughter and said that the 30-year-old hotel heiress did not go out of the house for three months after the incident.

Hilton told Piers Morgan that she thinks her ex-beau, Solomon is ‘a bad person’. But she was quick to point out that she has matured almost ten years after the public ‘feasted’ on the sex tape. Paris is now seeing club mogul, Cy Waits and she maintained that she has ‘never been happier’ with a beau of more than year.
