Reality TV show star, Paris Hilton has reportedly broken up with her boyfriend, club mogul, Cy Waits. The two has been going out for a little over a year before the split.

The Daily Mail is reporting that it looks like Hilton’s beau has thrown in the towel and given up on the relationship for his inability to no longer cope with the celebrity status he has to live with on a daily basis with Hilton as his girlfriend.

'They are broken up,' a friend was quoted telling as saying by the Daily Mail.

The unidentified source added: 'It's sad. She [Paris] cares about him a lot and thinks he's a great guy, but they really hit a rough patch.'

Paris has been reported gushing over Waits, even hinting that she was playing with the idea of being with him for the long haul.

'[Cy has] found it difficult to live his life with her [Hilton] in the spotlight and that's what caused their split,' the source said, according to the Daily Mail.

The couple has even been rumored getting engaged early this year after they were seen shopping for engagement ring.
