Paris Jackson to Dad: 'I Wanna Go With You'
Justice has been served to Conrad Murray in court, but Katherine Jackson insists it is "insufficient" after what her family has been through.
After all, while Michael Jackson's untimely demise saddened millions of fans, no one was affected as much as the King of Pop's own family. Particularly his three small children, whom Michael fiercely protected for the entirety of their young lives.
Katherine Jackson's victim impact statement highlights just how much Prince Michael II (Blanket), Michael Joseph Jr. (Prince) and Paris were affected by their father's death.
"Michael Jackson was his children's world, and their world collapsed when he left. His daughter [Paris] was crying and stated, 'I wanna go with you,'" Jackson states, recalling the night her son was pronounced dead.
The grandmother now stands as legal guardian of the three kids, who were planning to go into the filmmaking industry before their father's death.
Murray has been ordered to serve the maximum possible sentence of four years behind bars.
Before the singer's memorial, little was known about Michael Jackson's children. They constantly had to wear masks out in public, and Blanket was introduced to the world as an infant with a blanket draped over his head.
Michael was determined to protect his offspring from the fame and the media circus that surrounded him and his siblings at an early age.
Despite their father's famous eccentricities, a former employee tells Us Weekly that the children are remarkably well-adjusted and intelligent. He also says that while all three adore their father, the isolated lifestyle occasionally took its toll on them, especially Paris.
"Sometimes you'd just see her sitting in her window looking like she was kind of depressed when they were out on the ranch," the source reveals.
It contradicts reports from former publicist Raymone Bain, who insists the children enjoyed sleepovers with friends and weren't actually that reclusive.
They were all propelled in the spotlight, though, after they took to the stage to commemorate their father, Paris calling him "the best father you could ever imagine."
"I just wanted to say I love him so much," she added, before breaking out in tears.
