Fans have been dependent on alleged "close friends" of the "Jelena" couple regarding their real situation. Yet if there is one person that knows the truth between Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez, it would be none other than Bieber's mom, Pattie Mallette. Here's what Pattie has to say about the "Jelena" couple.

Since the start of 2013, fans have been confused about the real deal between Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez. The on-off and on again couple seem to be enjoying complicating things between them. For one, Gomez runs of to her friends and disses Justin Bieber. On the other hand, Justin Bieber is spotted publicly displaying attention with one girl to the next.

Surprisingly, not everyone is tired of the drama between the "Jelena" couple. Every "Belieber" and "Selenator" wants to know what exactly is going on between their idols. Thankfully, Pattie Mallette has all the answers.

In an interview with The View, Pattie opens about her son and about Selena Gomez. Though Pattie's answers are a bit surprising, it's enough to conclude that the "Jelena" duo is the epitome of complications.

"I think all parents worry about their kids. ... I don't necessarily agree with everything that he does, but we talk about things. I can't really tell you all the things we talk about, but I'm super proud of him [for] a lot of things he does that don't make the headlines everyday," states Mallette.

"I just try to encourage him to stay true to who he is, and stay grounded and humble. I just always encourage him and say ... you always have to learn the hard way, and you'll get there, and I believe in you," explains Pattie about her advice to her 19-year old son.

As for what's going on between Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez? Ironically, Pattie's answer is as complicated as the "Jelena" couple.

"I know it depends what day it is," answered Mallette sending the audience into a fit of laughter.

Judging from Mallette's answer, Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez are somehow still romantically linked but would depend on the day. July 4th seemed to be the "Jelena's day" given the Instagram post by Justin Bieber.

Fans will just have to wait longer until Selena or Justin speaks up on the true nature and status of their relationship. For now, it's a rollercoaster ride once more for all the "Jelena" fans.
