Paul McCartney married Nancy Shevell Sunday in London, in his third marriage.

The famous Beatles member married three times. His first marriage was with Linda Eastman who was then an American photographer. The two met for a second time in New York. In September 1968, he called her and asked her to fly to London.

After six months, McCartney married Linda - who was then four months pregnant with their daughter Mary- in a civil wedding ceremony. They had three children, Mary, Stella, and James.

McCartney later formally adopted Heather, Linda's daughter from her first marriage. Linda died from breast cancer on April 1998 in Tucson, Ariz. McCartney said that during their entire marriage, he and his wife spent less than a week apart.

Four years after Linda's death, Paul married Heather Mills. On June 2002, McCartney married Mills in a grand ceremony held at Castle Leslie in Glaslough, County Monaghan, Ireland. This was far from the simple civil wedding he had with Linda. On October 2003, Heather gave birth to a daughter, Beatrice Milly McCartney.

Four years after their marriage on July 2006, McCartney filed for divorce. The financial settlement awarded Mills $35 million and financial terms of the divorce were finalized March 2008.

On Sunday, McCartney was married again to Nancy Shevell. The two began dating November 2007. Nancy is a member of the board of the New York Metropolitan Transportation Authority and the daughter of a New Jersey trucking magnate.

His third marriage with Nancy Shevell was held in simple civil wedding in London, the same place where his marriage with Linda took place. Perhaps Sir Paul might be on high hopes that this time, his marriage will last the same way his first marriage did.
