Grand Reception Follows at Their North London Home
The Beatles singer and songwriter Paul McCartney has finally wed Nancy Shevell Sunday night.
Sir Paul and Nancy said their vows before a select group of 30 friends and family at Marylebone Register Office.
Looking relaxed and beaming with delight before and after the wedding, respectively, the couple graciously waved at fans waiting outside the wedding venue.
Paul's youngest daughter Beatrice (Heather Mills) took on the role of a flower girl. Mills was not scene in the event.
Ms. Shevell, a family friend of Paul and Linda, is vice president of her family's transport firm and has a 19-year-old son, Arlen, from her 24-year marriage to first husband Bruce Blakeman, The Daily Mail noted.
In a report by E! Online, Paul was spotted with his then fiancée Nancy and her family at the Liberal Jewish Synagogue in St. John's Wood, London for the Breaking of the Fast service the night before their wedding.
It was Paul's third marriage and Shevell's second. The Daily Mail reported the couple's combined fortune is at £700 million. Mrs. McCartney wore a simple but elegant knee-length ivory dress, reportedly designed by Paul's daughter Stella.
The Daily Mail reported the newlyweds are expected to fly to the U.S. for a wedding celebration at the Hamptons, where they both own homes. This plan reminds the media of Sir Paul's wedding to Linda in 1969, when they flew to New York to visit her family.
