Sir Paul McCartney's son has the idea of collaborating with the sons of the Fab Four and form a new generation of "The Beatles."

James McCartney followed his father's footsteps as he just performed at the Liverpool's Cavern Club where The Beatles made their name. In his interview with BBC, he revealed the thought of working with John Lennon's and George Harrison's sons, Sean Lennon and Dhani Harrison.

However, he admitted that Ringo Starr's son Zak Starkey may not be up for the idea. Zak Starkey is a rock drummer that worked with Oasis and Paul Weller.

James has worked with his father in making music. He played the guitar on Sir Paul's albums such as Flaming Pie and Driving Rain. Moreover, the father produced two of the son's EPs. James said that working with his father is amazing and that they have a good working relationship.

"He's a genius, he's beyond genius, and he's a big inspiration. Very intellectual and obviously amazing at what he does, so it's great fun. He helps me get in tune with myself and be the best person that I can be," James praised his father.

It seems that all of the sons took after their fathers. Starkey is a drummer like his father, Harrison is a frontman of thenewno2 and Lennon is a successful singer and songwriter based in New York.

James clarified his statements on his BBC interview saying that he is just thinking out loud and would only like to play with family friends. However, McCartney said that the chances of the band actually coming to fruition is up to "the will of God" and "nature's support."
