U.S. actor Paul Walker, known for his portrayal of Brian O'Conner, died in a terrible car crash in California. Rebecca McBrian, former girlfriend of Paul Walker, has been comforting their daughter, Meadow, after the tragic death of the "Fast and the Furious" actor.

"Rebecca is being there for her daughter, who is naturally devastated," a source revealed, obtained via Showbiz Spy.

"She and Paul had some good times together. She too is upset by his death."

40-year-old Paul Walker had his only child, Meadow, with Rebecca McBrian when he was 25.

In 1998, Walker and McBrian dated and on Nov. 4, the duo welcomed their child. Meadow moved from Hawaii to California to be closer to Walker while McBrian continued to live in Hawaii.

Paul Walker also dated Jasmine Pilchard-Gosnell.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department confirmed that the accident happened in the community of Valencia.

Deputies found the car immersed in flames when they answered to a report of a hit. Two people in the car, Paul Walker and his friend, were pronounced dead at the scene.

Paul Walker was the passenger in his friend's red Porsche.

Walker's Facebook page released this statement.

"It is with a truly heavy heart that we must confirm that Paul Walker passed away today in a tragic car accident while attending a charity event for his organisation Reach Out Worldwide."

"He was a passenger in a friend's car, in which both lost their lives. We... are stunned and saddened beyond belief by this news."

Walker was one of the leading stars along with Michelle Rodriguez and Vin Diesel in the "Fast & Furious" series.

Vin Diesel could not believe the death of Walker. He said in a post on Instagram, "Brother I will miss you very much. I am absolutely speechless. Heaven has gained a new Angel. Rest in Peace."

Universal Pictures released a statement, mentioning studio staff were broken-hearted by the star's death.

"Paul was truly one of the most beloved and respected members of our studio family for 14 years, and this loss is devastating to us, to everyone involved with the Fast & Furious films, and to countless fans."

"We send our deepest and most sincere condolences to Paul's family."
