In a tragic turn of events, Fast and Furious star Paul Walker died in a car crash on Friday evening in Los Angeles. The 40-year-old star was in the city for a fundraiser benefiting victims of the recent typhoon in the Philippines. His death news started as a hoax in the early hours of Friday which unfortunately turned into a reality.

According to Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department statement to Nationalpost.com, "Speed was a factor in the one-car crash in the community of Valencia. Deputies found a red Porsche engulfed in flames when they arrived Saturday afternoon."

Paul Walker was an adrenaline junkie and he loved to take part in thrilling activities - no doubt he was a part of all six series of Fast and Furious franchise. Before his sudden demise Walker's was riding as a passenger in Porsche which crashed into a pole and was later engulfed into flames.

"All of us at Universal are heartbroken," said Universal Pictures in a statement, adding, "Paul was truly one of the most beloved and respected members of our studio family for 14 years, and this loss is devastating to us, to everyone involved with the Fast and Furious films, and to countless fans."

Paul had a millions of fans worldwide and his death has indeed come as a shock to all of them. One of the fans wrote on UK.movies.yahoo.com, "I did not know Paul Walker personally and though his death is an utter tragedy for all his family and friends, it is the star Paul Walker that I will miss. I only knew him from his films, his characters and the occasional interview I had seen of him promoting his movies.

"Reading up about him now that he is gone, it seems that Walker was an interesting character himself. Surfer, lover of cars, father and humanitarian, he will be missed by many."
