"Fast And Furious" star Paul Walker's sudden death in a car crash has left his family devastated. Another thing that has added more to their grief is media rumors that Walker became victim of a tragic car accident due to speeding.

According to media reports, Paul Walker and his friend Roger Rodas were driving at top speed via the Porsche Carrera GT which led to the horrific car crash. However, contrary to media reports Paul's family believes that Paul and his friend were not driving irresponsibly.

For the first time since the sudden demise of Walker, his sister, Ashlie Walker has issued a statement to UK Daily Mail saying, "They were absolutely not racing, that's a complete lie. It hurts us when we hear these lies and it makes our grief worse and more painful. These are irresponsible allegations and people are trying to make out speed and racing was the reason for his death when it was just a terrible accident."

Ashlie gave this statement to tell Walker's fans that Paul and his friend were not irresponsible drivers.

Meanwhile, Paul's family including his father Paul Walker Sr., Paul's younger brother, sister-in-law, and uncle spent the day grieving. Reportedly, the family has turned to Mormon faith to get over actor's death.

Eyewitness to the accident has also confirmed in an official statement that Paul and Roger had been driving only for 5 minutes before the tragic accident happened. There was no way they could have increased the speed in such a short period of time.

"Roger lost control of the car. They didn't spin or anything. They went into a tree. They hit four trees and took a big light pole down. The light pole came down and the car bounced off of it. And then they crashed into a tree, that's what eventually stopped the car," said Jim said to Hollywoodlife.com.
