"Vampire Diaries" actor Paul Wesley had an unpleasant encounter that made him react on social networking site Twitter. Paul, 31, shared to his millions of followers on that a gun was pulled on him making him slam the gun laws in the United States.

According to the Digital Spy report, Paul Wesley expressed his "deep loathing and disgust" on the US gun laws after sharing his life threatening encounter on Friday, February 28. However, the TVD star did not provide further details regarding the incident like reporting it to the authorities.

A seemingly random act of a gun being pulled on me yesterday only compounded my deep loathing and disgust for the gun laws in this country.

Mr Wesley seems to have pulled through the scary incident when he shared the happy news about wrapping up "The Vampire Diaries" Season 5, Episode 18 filming on his Twitter account @paulwesley. The actor, who portrays Stefan Salvatore in the CW TV series, has officially accomplished his job as the episode's director and sounded confident in saying that he did not screw it up while working with the other TVD cast members and staff.

"The Vampire Diaries" stars, like Nina Dobrev (Elena Gilbert/Katherine Pierce) and Kat Graham (Bonnie Bennett), have been sharing images of Paul's directing experience to the fans. Another Twitter post came from Australian actress Penelope Mitchell (Liv Parker), who shared about her work experience with the director with an attached image.

In her Twitter account @pfhmitchell, Penelope shared an image of director Paul Wesley with his baseball cap backwards giving instructions to Steven R McQueen (Jeremy Gilbert) who appears to be holding back his laughter.
