Former American Idol judge, Paula Abdul has called 911 while attempting to free herself from a suspected boyfriend while driving in a California freeway. An audio-recording of Paula Abdul has surfaced documenting the former Idol judge’s attempts to escape an unidentified man’s car.
"Yes, I'm on the 101 Freeway... and I want out of this car and he won't let me," Paula Abdul was quoted as saying in recorded call obtained by Access Hollywood.
Abdul’s voice indicated that she was in Santa Barbara, Calif at that time but there was no clear reference as to who the guy was when she was arguing with him.
The call appeared to have scared the man suspected to be Paula’s boyfriend as it ended.
"Are you gonna drop me off? Are you gonna drop me off 'cause I have emergency on the phone?... he's dropping me off," the host of “Live To Dance” was heard informing the operator for 911.
The rep for Abdul insinuated that the unidentified man could have been a boyfriend with this statement when interviewed: "Arguments with loved ones are often times heated. After the call was made everything was worked out."
Paula is being named as Simon Cowell’s seatmate at the judge panel for “The X-Factor” which will begin in a few months.
