PBA Gov's Cup Live Stream & Replay: Alaska vs. Barako Bull (5:15 p.m), Rain or Shine vs. Talk N Text (7:30 p.m)

The Philippine Governors Cup has now entered the homestretch mark. From here onwards, all games are expected to be furious down to the wire as teams try to qualify into the playoff round. It's officially winning time in Asia's first pay-for-play league.

Alaska Aces vs. Barako Bull - 5:15 p.m

Alaska and Barako Bull are coming off back-to-back losses that surely put their bid to clinch the twice-to-beat playoff incentive in jeopardy.

Alaska, the reigning Commissioner Cup champion, has been erratic in their past two games as they bowed out to the undermanned San Mig Team 95-82 and then lost in a close battle with Petron Boosters 103-100 last week. Now, the pressure is on for coach Luigi trillo and his boys to deliver and there's no better time to do it than on Wednesday.

On the other hand, the Barako Bull continued to struggle in the fourth quarter after a furious start into the season. In fact, Barako was in position to win Saturday's ballgame against the Coffee Mixers, but they blew a nine point advantage in the fourth while Mike Singletary made a crucial error late.

Of course, it will be interesting how Alaska import Wendell McKines and Barako's Singletary go head-to-head in a crucial match like this.

Rain or Shine vs. Talk N''Text - 7:30 p.m

Rain or Shine is coming off a controversial loss to Ginebra San Miguel in the main event of Saturday's double-header. The Elasto Painters controlled the pace for most of the game but Ginebra came back strong behind their import Dior Lowhorn and Marc Caguiao. However, it was the three crucial free throws by Mac Baracael that capped the pulsating night at Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Baracael drew the foul from Beau Belga in the dying seconds of the game, sending him to the foul line with three-tenths of a second left. Rain or Shine tried to protest the outcome, but the management failed to submit their papers on time.

On the other hand, Talk N'' Text is on a brink of elimination after coming up with only two wins in seven outings. With two games left in their schedule, the Texters will tap a new import in Courtney Fells, who played at North Carolina State back in his college years.

"We hope to get a lift from him especially on the defensive end of the floor," said Black.

"It's pretty much do or die for us," head coach Norman Black told Phil Inquirer. "It's a tough task but we will give all our energy to get a win."
