The eighth and final quarterfinal spot in the PBA Gov's Cup is still up for grabs after Talk N Text defeated Ginebra 113-99 to force a do-or-die Tuesday (7:15 p.m) at the Smart Araneta, Coliseum.

In an unexpected turn of events, the Texters fended off elimination to live for another day while Ginebra found their Governor's Cup campaign in jeopardy after losing their last two games of elimination rounds.

Despite boasting perhaps the most loaded backcourt in the league, Ginebra's trio of L.A Tenorio, Marc Caguiao and J.J Helterbrand just could not click together all at the same time. Their defense has been miserable for the past two games, allowing opponents to score effectively in the paint.

The Ginebra vs Talk N Text knockout clash was supposed to take place on Monday at Cuneta Astrodome in Pasay. However, due to downpour that triggered floods across Metro Manila, the game was postponed to another day at Smart Araneta Coliseum, affecting the schedule for the playoffs in the process.

"Due to heavy rains and flooding, the playoff game for the eighth quarterfinal spot between Barangay Ginebra and Talk n Text has been reset," the Commissioner's Office announced, according to Phil Inquirer PBA.

The do-or-die game will feature showdown between two prolific imports Dior Lowhorn and Courtney Fells, who tasted his first win in the league after three games. Fells, a North Carolina State product, produced 26 points, five rebounds and two assists in their first game against Ginebra on Sunday.

The winner of Ginebra-Talk N Text duel will be given a chance to play the Petron Boosters, who clinched the first seed along with twice-to-beat incentive after losing only once in nine elimination round games.
