The PBA Governors Cup is now down to roughly two weeks of regular-season battle before the playoff stages officially kick off. Yet, the current standings showed the remaining games will be important than any other as contenders fight for better positioning while the cellar-dwellers look to stay alive in the tournament.

Ginebra (2-4) vs. Rain or Shine (4-3) - (6:15 p.m Manila/Perth Time)

Ginebra's star-studded roster continue to disappoint its fans after losing their fourth game in six outings at the hands of sister team San Mig Coffee Mixers 89-86 last Sunday. After almost a week of rest, the Gin Kings will be back in action again in what could be a virtual make-or-break game for them against Rain or Shine Elasto Painters.

Marc Caguiao, who's coming off a miserable shooting night in last weekend's Manila Clasico, will try to shake off his shooting slump, but the presence of Smart Gilas mainstay and defender Gabe Norwood will sure make things a bit rougher for him on the floor. The clash between Ginebra's import Dior Lowhorn and ROS's Arizona Reid will also add up more spice to this Saturday's main event.

San Mig (4-3) vs. Barako Bull (4-3) - (3:45 p.m/ Manila)

With the re-emergence of Marquis Blakely as Best Import of the Conference frontrunner, San Mig has suddenly become the hottest team in the PBA with three straight victories. On Saturday, the Coffee Mixers will be gunning for fourth win in a row against a Barako Bull side that has been inconsistent as of late.

The Coffee Mixers and the Energy Cola will both attempt to break away from a four-way tie for second place, making this showdown certainly a must-watch. James Yap has steadily recaptured his shooting groove while Marc Pingris is set to make his return after a two-game suspension. On the other hand, Danny Siegel, Eman Monfort and high-scoring import Michael Singletary are up to take the charge for the Barako Bull.
