The PBA Governors' Cup 2013 is all set to enter the crucial stage of the single round robin elimination schedule. With just roughly three weeks left in the preliminary round, expect teams to take their game to another level as they attempt to lock their spots in the knockout stages.

Tuesday's Schedule - September 10, 2013

Barako Bulls Energy Drink (4-2) vs. Rain or Shine Elasto Painters (3-3)

Fresh from a hard-fought win 98-97 win over Global Port Batang Pierre, the Barako Bulls gun for another win against the defending Governors Cup champ Rain or Shine. Tuesday's double header-opener will feature matchup between two of the most prolific imports in the conference: Arizona Reid and Mike Singletary.

Reid is averaging 28 points and 16 rebounds per ball game while Singletary is coming off a 43-point explosion and averaging 37 points and 14 rebounds. But the difference-maker will always be the locals as Barako Bull leans on Eman Monfort and Danny Siegel to counter Rain or Shine's formidable All-Filipino unit of Gabe Norwood, Jeff Chan and Paul Lee.

"It will be a difficult game for us. Rain or Shine is coming off a loss and they are fresh," Bulls head coach Reiko Toroman told the Phil Inquirer on his team's showdown with ROS. "They are a great team with lots of individual quality."

San Mig Coffee Mixers (3-3) vs. Alaska Aces (3-2)

Ice and fire collide as super cool James Yap and his San Mig Coffee Mixers go head-to-head with fiery rookie Calvin Abueva and the Alaska Aces. Fresh from a three point win over sister team Barangay Ginebra on Sunday, San Mig will hit the court for the second time in three days against a well-rested team in Alaska.

Marcus Blakely will try to jack up more point after exploding for 30 points along with 10 rebounds in the Manila Clasico game. On the other hand, Wendell McKines is expected to follow up his 38-point performance against Talk N' Text.

"San Mig is not only a well-coached team. They are playing quality basketball. Their chemistry seems to be improving," Trillo told Phil Inquirer.
