Petron Boosters former import Renaldo Balkman is making the headlines in Venezuela in a positive way, as the ex-NBA journeyman continued to produce big numbers for Puerto Rico at the FIBA Americas Championship 2013.

Balkman, who took the Philippine sporting world by storm after choking fellow Petron teammate Arwind Santos in 2012's Commissioners Cup, has been a beast on both ends of the floor after four days of intense competition in Caracas.

Balkman averaged 20 points and 9 rebounds per game for Puerto Rico, outshining legit NBA players such as J.J Barea and Carlos Arroyo. Balkman chalked up 20 points, 9 rebounds and 5 steals in Puerto Rico's 88-82 win over Jamaica. In the opening day, he recorded 24 points and a crucial tip-in shot to power Puerto Rico to a 72-65 win over Brazil.

If Balkman continues to produce big time numbers in the coming days, he may find himself with another crack at the NBA after spending the last two seasons overseas.

Meanwhile, Asi Taulava could be playing again in the PBA anytime after his agent, Sheryl Reyes, provided hints on the next destination of the 6-foot-9 veteran center.

In an article posted by Ballers Pinas, Reyes posted three consecutive tweets with the intention of giving PBA writers and fans clues on what's next for the 'Rock.'

After cracking the codes, it seems that Air 21 is all set to sign the former Most Valuable Player soon. Taulava was recently named MVP in the ASEAN Basketball League after posting 10.9 points and 7.4 rebounds per game for the eventual season champion San Miguel Beermen. The impressive part is he did it all at age 40, making age nothing but a number.
