Completing a Kickstarter phase has helped Pebble generate more than 190,000 pre-orders. The Pebble team is responsible for the smart watch device hitting the market soon. With their Kickstarter phase finished, the team will now handle hundreds of thousands of shipments sent to their website.

Kickstarter was not named as such for no reason. Last year, the online platform helped Pebble raise more than $10 million for their project. The bid for additional funds became a success after 85,000 backers pledged their support for the team. Pebble published a blog on Kickstarter providing people with update on their project.

Pebble co-founder and CEO Eric Migicovsky provides details on the company's next steps and what will happen to their smart watch venture. Mr Migicovsky confirmed they send the Kickstarter orders to the company's backers. While some orders were delayed because of color concerns, the company started shipping the Arctic White units.

There was also trouble in Germany. The company just began resolving custom problems in the country.

Migicovsky revealed that the company is preparing to "transition from the Kickstarter period to the pre-order period." According to Mashable's report, Migicovsky confirmed that GetPebble.com has gotten more than 190,000 on their website. Along with the orders from Kickstarter, the company will have processed 275, 000 starting April 2012.

Mr Migicovsky remains critical of their success. He feels that it is also a double-edged sword.

"We know there are hundreds of thousands waiting but unfortunately, we can't flip a switch and satiate that demand," he told Mashable. At the moment, pre-order means a reservation process or system. The company sends out email confirmation telling users their orders are ready to ship. Payment should be completed and shipping information provided to obtain the item.

Pebble can still hit a slump should users feel they no longer need or want the item. It remains risky but more than a hundred thousand pre-orders is still a good start.
