Newly married couple actor Javier Bardem and actress, Penelope Cruz have welcomed their first child together Tuesday.

Though no details on the baby’s name and gender have been given public by the couple, Spanish Newspaper El Pais confirmed that the baby was born at Cedar’s Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles.

The two surprised Hollywood when the secret of their private nuptials came out. The couple met while shooting “Vicky Cristina Barcelona”.

The US Magazine noted that 36-year old Cruz debuted her baby bump while shooting “Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides” in Puerto Rico September last year.
