It's that time of the year when the general public get the power to support their favorite celebrity for their past work through the People's Choice Awards 2014. Nominations have been announced and the voting starts. Highlights of the nominations are the hit TV show, "Glee," dominating the nominees list, next to "Glee" with Katy Perry and "Gravity" Star Sandra Bullock.

"Glee,' Katy Perry and Sandra Bullock dominate the People's Choice Awards 2014 Nominations

Leading the pack is the smash hit Fox's musical show, "Glee." It has bagged total of eight nominations in various categories, including Favorite Network TV Comedy, Favorite Comedic TV actor nomination for Darren Criss and Favorite Comedic TV Actress for the Leading Lady Lea Michele.

For the nominations in music categories, it is Katy Perry who dominates the scene with five nominations for categories, including Favorite Female Artist, Favorite Pop Artist, Favorite Song, Favorite Music Video and Favorite Music Fan Fallowing.

New Zealand based Lorde and "Broadway" star Ariana Grande has also received a nomination for the category Favorite Breakout Artist. Miley Cyrus made to the list of nominees for her latest album "Bangerz."

For the movies, "Gravity" star Sandra Bullock leads the pack with five nominations, including Favorite Movie Actress, Favorite Movie Duo with George Clooney, Favorite Comedic Movie Actress and more.

Other highlights are that the sexiest vampire on TV Ian Somerhalder gets nominated for his role in "The Vampire Diaries."

The much popular boy band 1D have received nomination for Favorite Band and much liked Selena Gomez is battling for Favorite Female Artist category with Katy Perry, Britney Spears, Demi Lovato and Pink. For the male equivalent we have Avicii, Blake Shelton, Bruno Mars, Justin Timberlake and Michael Buble.

For Favorite Movie we have "Despicable Me 2," Fast & Furious 6," "Iron Man 3," "Monster University" and "Star Trek into Darkness."
