Perez Hilton is known for his everyday posts of shocking news on his website. But this time around, the shock and the news are both aimed on him.

Perez Hilton surprised everyone when he announced that he is now a father. How did that happen? Well the openly gay blogger gave no further details on how he got the baby or who the mother is but announced on Wednesday that he is now a father to a baby boy. He accompanied his post with a photo of himself while cradling the baby.

"I am ready to announce that earlier this month I was blessed with the birth of my first child, a beautiful and healthy baby boy - with lots of hair on his tiny head!" Perez posted.

Many celebrities were quick to congratulate the gossip blogger. From Kevin Jonas, Ricky Martin to Paris Hilton, Perez was flooded with warm wishes.

"I am so humbled to welcome this little man into my life. And I am honored and ready for the challenge of guiding him through his," Perez continued. "My family is overjoyed at this newest and most cherished addition."

While deeply touched by the support he got form Twitter, he responded with a tweet that says, "Overwhelmed by your sweet messages of support! I keep bursting out in tears of joy! THANK YOU for sending us so much love!"

"I can't stop crying! Every time someone Tweets me "Congrats Dad" or "Daddy" the tears just start streaming! #PoppaPerez" he posted once more.

Although he kept the baby a secret, the blogger may have given some hints about his coming baby boy when he was spotted last January at the baby department at Target. Perez was seen shopping for a bunch of baby clothes but no one saw this big announcement coming.
