Maynard James Keenan, frontman for Tool, has his focus on winemaking and his side projects, A Perfect Circle and Puscifer. Tool fans will have to wait for any news on the new album despite reports of new music in the pipeline, but his side bands will come up in some or the other way this fall. A Perfect Circle are getting ready with a greatest hits compilation called "Three Sixty" out Nov. 19th and box set called "A Perfect Circle Live: Featuring Stone and Echo."

In an interview with Rolling Stone, Maynard talked about why it is a compulsion to bring out a greatest hits collection.

"Of course, record companies always have their little clause in their contract, about their right to release a greatest hits record. I think that can be kind of weird sometimes, when you see "the greatest hits," no, no - "the greatest greatest hits." Releases by a record label that the band had nothing to do with, and there's several versions of the same thing, over and over again. That's kind of why we did the DVD and the box set. If you're going to release a greatest hits, we should also offer something that's not just the old recordings, rearranged," Maynard said.

He also said the greatest hits, will have a new song called "By and Down."
