‘Person Of Interest' Season 4 Recap: Episode 10 'The Cold War' Aired On Dec. 16, 2014, The Machine And Samaritan Meet Up [WATCH VIDEOS]

"Person of Interest" starring Michael Emerson (Harold Finch), Sarah Shahi (Sameen Shaw), Jim Caviezel (John Reese), Lionel Fusco (Kevin Chapman), and Amy Acker (Root) aired "The Cold War" (Season 4, episode 10) on Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2014. "Person of Interest" Season 4, episode 10 "The Cold War" was written by Amanda Segel and directed by Michael Offer. Here's what happened in "The Cold War." Samaritan tried hard to get The Machine's attention by erasing all the crime from New York City for one day, going after the persons of interest before the "POI" team could save them and killing off people from the WITSEC lists.

Finally, Root, as The Machine's representative, agreed to meet up with Samaritan's avatar. She went to an elementary school because the avatar that was used was a student there. Samaritan threatened to destroy Machine and its human team.

Samaritan wanted humans to believe in it and follow it as if it were a god. But, The Machine didn't believe in controlling humans because they still have free will to do as they please. Their meeting ended with Samaritan saying "So be it."

Towards, the end of the episode, Samaritan manipulated the financial market in order to cause mayhem due to economic problems worldwide. And, Shaw decided to leave her place of safety to help out her teammates as well as protect Root.
