PETA proposed advert for Super Bowl sparks debate if vegans are better in bed than meat-eaters
A 39-second advertisement submitted by the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) to the Super Bowl and was rejected, is now viral. One week after the video was posted on YouTube, it has been viewed almost 2.5 million times.

Rejected by Super Bowl for being too raunchy, the 39-second video is making waves not only for its steamy images of two couples making love. Beyond the hot scene, the hotter issue is the message that vegans last longer in bed compared to meat-eaters.
In a press release, PETA explains that if males continue to eat food high in cholesterol, such as dairy products, meat and eggs, blood flow to the male genital would slow down, making the man perform weakly in bed. On the other hand, the vegan man battles ailments such as erectile dysfunction (ED), diabetes, obesity and prostate cancer, on top of lasting longer in bed and satisfying his partner, reports The Telegraph.

Mimi Bekhechi, PETA director, elaborates, pointing out that “Foods high in fibre, including fruits, vegetables and whole grain, scrub the plaque off the arterial walls and get blood flowing to the parts he [a man] needs it flowing to, improving his love life and bringing satisfaction to someone else.”
PETA is supported in its claim by a study in The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition that risks of developing erectile dysfunction could be cut by 20 percent if men eat fruits such as apples, blueberries and strawberries regularly, reports Medicalnewstoday.
Another supporter of PETA is the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine which petitioned the organisers of Meat Week to change its name to Erectile Dysfunction Acceptance Week.
