Phil Taylor is not just aiming for an easy game; he is aiming to equal the champion legends namely, Roger Federer, Jack Nicklaus, and Tony McCoy. Currently, Taylor's confidence is ahead of him as he tries to regain Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) crown from Michael van Gerwen and win the same number of Grand Slam titles as the Swiss no. 1.

Phil Taylor has been popularly known as 16-time world dart champion and by that he is assured of his Britain's slot as the country's greatest purveyor of arrows since Robin Hood was created. Apparently, the Power is not contented with just 16. He wants more, and by more means being equal to the legends in different sports. He further expressed his intentions to match if not beat Federer's 17 tennis Grand Slam, Nicklaus' 18 golf Majors, and McCoy's 19 champion jockey trophies.

These dreams of the Power may only be taken one at a time, with the hopes that time be on his favour. Phil Taylor is set to tread on the road less travelled and he is aiming to take down the reigning champion Michael van Gerwen after he successfully plunged a bulls eye before. Now, Gerwen is under the hot seat.

Taylor has been known to be a survivor of great challenges in his life. From his break-up with wife Yvonne, which marriage lasted for 26 years, to a more recent grave event obliging him to make a hospital vigil for his seriously-ill mother, Liz. But then again, all these events got him even more motivated than weakened.

In line with his hopes to be in the same line with the great legends, Taylor confidently expressed his faith that even before Federer can kick-off with his serve at the Australian Open next month, he is already the Lord of tennis' equal beating his way to Federer's 17 magical career moments. Taylor further confidently laid out what's going to happen: He will either win a 17th world title or Federer will bag his 18th Grand Slam.
