Remember the "Paul Walker death hoax" rap that was all over the internet. Well, another celebrity had been the victim of internet hoax just 24 hours after his sad death. Philip Seymour Hoffman death hoax was the latest report that spread like wild fire on the Internet. Some of the major news outlets believed the reports, but Philip was not the victim of online death hoax.

After the news confirmed that Oscar-winning actor Philip Seymour Hoffman had been found dead, various news Web sites reported Philip had been the victim of an online death hoax few days before he passed away.

The death hoax was nothing but a fake report generated by a satirical website named Mediamass.net which made reputed websites like Daily Mail into stating the Philip Seymour Hoffman death hoax.

The website, Mediamass.net, is a "humorous parody of gossip magazines" and the stories published are NOT true.

According to Sydney Morning Herald, the website, with the help of an algorithm, generates these celebrity death hoax articles.

The article can be modified to release the death hoax of a celebrity just entering their name in the URL.

For instance, this report of One Direction star Harry Styles death hoax report.

The report reads, "News of singer Harry Styles's death spread quickly earlier this week causing concern among fans across the world. However, the February 2014 report has now been confirmed as a complete hoax and just the latest in a string of fake celebrity death reports. Thankfully, One Direction singer is alive and well."

The news continues that "Rumors of the singer's alleged demise gained traction on Sunday after a 'R.I.P. Harry Styles' Facebook page attracted nearly one million of 'likes'." The report also quotes the celeb's unnamed reps confirming that the star is alive.

Fans of Philip Seymour Hoffman shared their views on Twitter and said that the hoax news is "sick." Oscar-winning actor was found dead on the bathroom floor of his New York apartment.
