Philippine Lawmakers File Congress Resolution, Demand Apology From Justin Bieber to Manny Pacquiao [PHOTOS]
After his Instagram Pacquiao mocking, Justin Bieber made a group of respected lawmakers in the Phillipines quite angry as they demand and filed a house resolution stating nothing short of a public apology.
It has happened, the consequences are already here. It has become serious for the Biebs' Instagram shenanigans.
After Justin Bieber posted photos of Manny Pacquiao face down after Juan Miguel Marquez knocked him out in the ring, a surge of angry Pacman-loyal fans reacted. Some say that his popularity and influence does not give him the right to comment on professional boxing, let alone mock an athlete who also happens to be a member of the Philippine House of Representatives. Pacquiao is the congressman of Sarangani, a province in the southern hemisphere of the country.
The members of the said "Bieber angry" lawmakers already filed a House Resolution 2962 stating a demand for an apology. Representatives Seth Jalosjos (Zamboanga del Norte), Amado Bagatsing (Manila), Carol Jayne Lopez (Yacap party-list), Mark Aeron Sambar (PBA party-list), Antonio Alvarez (Palawan), Isidro Lico (Ating Koop party-list), and lastly, Alfredo Garbin Jr. (Ako Bicol) joined forces to make this happen.
"Mr. Bieber should have known that the Hon. Pacquiao has reached his stature as such as a result of sheer hardwork, determination, and firm belief in God, and despite such stature best exemplifies humility and grace even despite defeat," one of the lawmakers suggested, as reported by SunStar Philippines.
The resolution the lawmakers filed state that if the Canadian singer shrugs off this request and demand, the need to ban him is in need.
"Should he refuse to do so, Mr. Justin Bieber be declared persona non grata and thus should not be allowed to enter the country at any time in the future."
