The old photos of Adolf Hitler’s girlfriend and wife, Eva Braun has hit the web through Life Magazine and has since caused some stir, with 300% increase in searches for ‘Eva Braun’ in one day.
Hitler met young Eva in 1929 when he was just beginning to establish his grounds in the Nazi party. The Nazi leader was introduced to 17-year-old Braun as Herr Wolff after which she modeled for the official Nazi photographer named, Heinrich Hoffman in Munich. Though the two became inseparable since then, Hitler has kept Braun secret from Nazi Germany for years.
"From our first meeting I swore to follow you anywhere even unto death. I live only for your love," a note was found in Braun’s personal collection expressing her undying love for the Nazi leader.
Often hidden from the public, Braun had been described as depressive and was reported to have attempted suicide twice. The Bavarian was also known loyal to Hitler to the end.
Braun had committed suicide with Hitler at the age of 33. The photo that was discovered was part of Braun’s personal album confiscated in 1945 by the American army.
