Fans Hit Sydney to See Taylor Lautner Promotes ‘Abduction’
A man’s gotta do what he’s gotta do.
The Taylor Lautner mania continues as the Hollywood hunk takes Australia by storm. And the actor has proven that he may be the lone werewolf to go Down Under, but his loyal fans have gone in pack to see him just the same, even a New Zealander.
And for this loyal fan, it means a job no more when he goes back home to New Zealand.
Thousands of fans have flocked to Fox Studios to see Taylor Lautner at the premiere of his latest thriller, “Abduction”.
The actor claimed he was surprised to hear screaming fans knowing Leonardo DiCaprio is just around the corner. In a separate article by IBTimes AU posted yesterday, this reporter noted that Leo went straight to Fox Studios after touching down Sydney Airport Monday, Aug. 22. And yesterday, it was Taylor’s moment. Not even Leo could steal his fans away from him.
"It's amazing the support I get. You never really get used to it," the “Abduction” star was quoted as telling The Daily Telegraph at the film’s premiere in Sydney.
"It's because of everyone here that I get to do what I do. I'm always thankful."
NewsCom.au noted that the Taylor was all smiles to spend an hour to spend time with his fans. The Twilight hunk had taken his time to take pictures with his supporters, some of whom reportedly skipped school for one day before the premieres and camped out for hours to ensure a spot.
The news website added that a man flew in to Australia from New Zealand for a chance to take a glimpse of Taylor.
And most of them had taken a trip to Sydney from Orange, Newcastle and Wollongong.
Taylor is in Melbourne yesterday for the Australian launch of “Abduction”, a thriller-action film where he plays Nathan Harper, a teenager who confirmed that indeed something is out of sync all his life when he stumbled upon a photo of him as a kid on a missing-persons website.
This is his second working day as Taylor first hit the red carpet in Melbourne on Monday, Aug.22. Abduction hits theaters in September.
