Fans of a stoned Seth Rogen and James Franco are in luck as the messed-up duo might be seen on screen again.

It has been almost three years since the release of the stoner romp "Pineapple Express", and a sequel is what people mostly are clamoring for, especially one of the leads, Rogen.

"I don't think it's so precious that I wouldn't want to ruin it with a sequel," the comedian told E! yesterday while going the rounds for the Alzheimer Association's Hilarity for Charity cause.

He adds, "So yeah, I would be [into it]. We talk about it. We joke around about it."

Actually, the plan for producing a sequel for the hit 2008 film has been up in the air for some time. Cinema Blend chatted a year ago with the original's writer Evan Goldberg, who, at the time, was reluctant on the idea of it.

"I've been the one stopping it," the writer shares. He went on comparing 'Express' to other successful films that didn't need sequels.

"Because I was just like, not to say we're the greatest filmmakers on Earth - as the Coen Brothers kind of are - but they didn't make Blood Simple 2. They didn't make The Big Lebowski 2."

He and Rogen have slightly different remarks now, don't they? Goldberg even brought up the "Lethal Weapon" movies to support his statement.

However, if ever the project becomes a reality, he can still foresee some production problems.

"Now everyone's super famous so now we have to work on all of these deals. We probably won't have time for like two years," he points out.

In the end, there is still no official confirmation on the project, and only Rogen's approval. To hold us over, the two have recently teamed up for another comedy, Neighborhood Watch, which they also both wrote.

Other features from the Golden Globe-nominated actor that fans need to look out for include his self-produced 'The Apocalypse' as well as another comedy 'My Mother's Curse', where he teams up with Barbra Streisand.

Go or no go for "Express", Seth Rogen's career will still soar.
