Pink's tough onstage persona is about as far from cute and cuddly as it can be, but the veteran performer is embracing her inner penguin for "Happy Feet 2."

The sequel to the 2006 box office smash hit will feature Pink as the voice of Gloria, lead character Mumble's love interest. The supporting character was voiced by the late Brittany Murphy in the first movie.

It wouldn't be the first time for the rocker to be involved with Happy Feet. Pink's cover of "Tell Me Something Good" by Rufus was featured on the soundtrack of the original film.

Happy Feet 2 will follow Mumble and his son Erik, who hasn't inherited his famous father's tap dancing moves. Instead, he sets his sights on the "The Mighty Sven", a penguin who can fly.

It is a feel-good family movie, and Pink's contribution to the soundtrack does not stray far from the fluff. She belts out her new single "Bridge of Light", an emotional ballad with inspirational lyrics and a contemplative melody unlike nothing that's ever been seen from the usually gritty singer.

The soft side to the Get This Party Started hit maker may be attributed to Pink's new real life role as a mother.

In an interview with People magazine after her C-section birth, Pink opened up about life as a mom.

"You hear people say it all the time, how life changes so drastically," she explained. "But you can't possibly grasp how beautiful that is until you have your child." added the singer.

It seems the thirty-two year old have been embracing new challenges as of late. She's been trying her hand at acting, already having done short appearances in films such as Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle and Catacombs.

Aside from her prominent role in Happy Feet Two, Pink will also be featured in Thanks For Sharing. This drama about sex addiction stars Gwyneth Paltrow, Mark Ruffalo and Tim Robbins. It will be out on 2012.
