Pink, Orphan Girl From Thailand Turns Down Chance To Stay With Kim Kardashian Saying She Loves Her Country
Kim Kardashian's chance to become another Angelina Jolie and adopt a kid from third world country was left unfulfilled when the girl she wanted to take home as her daughter turned down her offer. Pink, the 13-year-old Thai girl who stole the heart of the reality star on her recent trip to Thailand, has reportedly refused to become Kim's adopted daughter, various media agencies reveal.
The teenage girl was excited about the adoption offer from Kim but her love for her mother and her country overpowered her love for money and she turned down Kim's offer to adopt her, reports metro.co.uk. The website further reveals that Pink, whose real name is Laddawan Tong-Keaw, wants to study in her own country and help other underprivileged children like her when she grows up.
Kim grew fond of the little girl when she visited Thailand recently on a holiday. During an episode of "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" Kim is shown spending time at the orphanage and sitting next to Pink. "When you meet someone that you really connect to like this, you can't help but think like how you could change their life. And I think that looking into adoption would be amazing," said Kim during the episode, according to Metro.
The 34-year-old further adds that she cannot "stop thinking" about Pink and even shared her sentiments with her husband Kanye West. Kim revealed her intentions of adopting the girl to Kanye and said Pink was "sweet and so cute."
According to Daily Mail, Pink is not without parents but is living at the orphanage as her father left her when she was born and her mother could not raise her alone. Her mother visits her frequently and told her that she will "give permission" to her to go and live with Kim when she can look after herself and finishes her high school.
Though the little girl chose not to go and live with Kim, she has however expressed her desire to meet Kim and her family again one day. "I thought she was lovely and I really enjoyed meeting her -- and I loved being on TV too," said Pink according to Daily Mail.
