Pippa Middleton wedding: Preparations, guest list and where the couple will go on their honeymoon
Pippa Middelton is scheduled to walk down the aisle next month to her hedge-fund manager fiancé, James Matthews. The 33-year-old socialite is reportedly throwing an intimate yet lavish ceremony and corresponding reception and is being strategic about all aspects of the day -- including her wedding party, guests and related celebrations.
Us Weekly previously reported that Pippa and James will wed in St Mark’s Church in Englefield, Berkshire on May 20. After which, the couple and their guests will travel some seven miles to the Middleton home in Bucklebury for the reception. A luxury marquee will reportedly cover the family grounds.
The publication then went on to quote a source and confirmed that Princess Charlotte will be the flower girl. Meanwhile, Prince George will be the page boy. However, several reports have since claimed that Kate Middelton thinks the two royals are too young to be given that responsibility. Kate, on the other hand, will not be a part of the wedding party at all. On the side of James, brother Spencer Matthews will be the best man.
And while the weeks leading up to the wedding are likely the most stressful, Telegraph UK noted that the couple are going on an early honeymoon instead of worrying about the details. Pippa and James are apparently jetting off to the Mathews’ five-star resort at St Barths. The publication pointed out how the bride-to-be will have a relaxing time working on her tan.
“It’s really a good idea, maybe six weeks or a couple of months before the wedding, just to go away for four or five days, relax and remember all the reasons why you want to get married in the first place,” wedding planner Sarah Haywood said. The time is meant to keep the couple’s heads out of the clouds and their feet warm and planted on the ground.
But this is not the only type of preparations that Pippa is undergoing to look her best for the wedding. Mail Online has noted that the socialite has been seen on several runs, oftentimes in company of her black cocker spaniel and James’ black Labrador. The publication noted that Pippa is in great shape and does not look like she will let up any time before the wedding.
