Pippa Middleton wedding update: Socialite to wed James Deacon in May 2017
A few months ago, Pippa Middleton got engaged to hedge fund manager James Matthews. And while neither party has officially confirmed details about their wedding, leaks have been coming from various other sources, the most recent of which revolves around the wedding date.
According to US Magazine, Pippa and James have already sent out their save the date cards, which indicate that May 20, 2017 will be the big day. The two will wed at the St Mark’s church in Englefield, Berkshire. After the ceremony, the couple and their guests will celebrate with a reception at the home of Pippa’s parents, Carole and Michael Middleton. A large marquee is expected to cover the family grounds, the entirety of which will be used to host the guests.
The same source of the publication said that Princess Charlotte will be one of Pippa’s flower girls and that Prince George will likely be a page boy. However, Pippa’s sister Kate Middleton will not be walking down the aisle with her as a bridesmaid. Instead, the Duchess of Cambridge is expected to be a reader in the ceremony.
One other detail that has been circulating is that Giles Deacon is the man behind Pippa’s wedding dress. Though it has not been confirmed, the designer was photographed leaving the Middleton home last month. He appeared to be making a personal delivery as he carried a garment bag with him during the visit. Though it is not certain if the gown he carried would be worn by the brde, it is estimated that the British designer will have a hand in the wardrobe of the wedding party.
James proposed to Pippa in June. The two were on a trip to the Lake District when the 41-year-old got down on bended knee and officially asked the 33-year-old socialite to be his wife. At the time, the two had been dating for less than a year.
