'Pirates of the Caribbean 5' production to continue in Vancouver from March 24
Filming of “Pirates of the Caribbean 5” may have wrapped in Australia, but the production of the movie is set to continue in Vancouver, Canada from March 24. The movie has been in the news for getting delayed and overshooting its budget.
Johnny Depp (Captain Jack Sparrow) and some of the other cast members of the movie are set to travel to Vancouver in the next few days to finish the movie, The Vancouver Sun reports. The filming is set to take place between March 24 and April 13.
Director Joachim Ronning announced on his Instagram page that filming of the movie wrapped on July 21, 2015. The filming of the movie was delayed because Depp suffered a minor injury while he was in Australia and he had to fly back to the US to get his hand treated.

There was also a controversy with Amber Heard’s Yorkshire Terriers Pistol and Boo in Australia. Heard was accused of bringing in her dogs “illegally,” without the proper customs clearance. Australia has very strict biosecurity laws to prevent the spread of diseases like rabies from other countries.
Heard flew in on a private jet and was here to be with her husband Depp, while he filmed “Pirates of the Caribbean 5.” A case was registered against Heard and she was asked to appear before the court.
Despite all the controversies, Depp took the time to meet the fans in Australia. He often met with the fans in full costume and stayed in character to entertain the fans. As the lead character in the franchise, this will be the fifth time that the actor will be seen on screen as the infamous pirate captain.
“Pirates of the Caribbean 5” is set to be released on May 26, 2017 in Australia. The plot of the movie revolves around Jack Sparrow searching for the Trident of Poseidon to take on his terrifying new enemy Captain Salazar (Javier Bardem).
