"Finding Nemo" has captured the hearts of movie-goers when it was released in 2003. Now, Pixar talks about a sequel for the heart warming, animated film. But the question is, will Nemo be lost again?

The move earned approximately $860 million dollars at the worldwide box office and became the second highest grossing Pixar film ever. But a sequel always looked bleak in the water, until now.

Director Andrew Stanton is setting up a sequel after coming up with concepts for the planned follow-up movie. "Finding Nemo" featured voices of Albert Brooks, Ellen De Generes and Willem Dafoe.

The story is about the quest of a protective clownfish father Marlin, who asks the help of a forgetful Dory as they search for his son Nemo. Stanton, who has already won two Oscars for "Finding Nemo" and "Wall-E" is hoping to bounce back from his live action debut "John Carter" which disappointingly flopped this year.

Victoria Strouse will be responsible for the script for the animated movie with a target date of release for 2016. Despite making sequels for "Cars" and "Toy Story," Pixar has been reluctant in making follow ups for their hit films for the sake of the film itself.

But for the meantime, Pixar is currently doing several new projects including "The Good Dinosaur." And if four years is too long for the "Finding Nemo" sequel, the original film will be re-released in 3D this year.
