In celebration of its diamond anniversary, Playboy is featuring the classic beauty of supermodel Kate Moss as she bares it all before she turns 40. The iconic men's magazine December issue will feature the Playboy's 60 years in the business of showcasing female beauty.

Jimmy Jellinek, Playboy's editorial director explains the reason behind why Kate Moss was chosen to represent the magazine's 60th anniversary.

"This is a massive global brand. You need a global icon in order to celebrate that - that was the impetus. You're talking about the face of Burberry, the biggest supermodel in the world on the cover of Playboy. She's the perfect partner for us to help launch the next 60 years. This creates a heat for the brand globally. It started with Marilyn Monroe on the cover of Playboy 60 years ago, an icon for her time. Now we've got Kate Moss!"

Playboy's December issue will be released in January 2014 just in time that Moss will celebrate her 40th birthday on the 16th. Just when everybody thought that most supermodels will end their career once they get older, but not for Kate Moss.

"She's a worldwide celebrity and iconic, and crosses the boundaries from sexual imagery to upscale modeling," Playboy founder Hugh Hefner told the Los Angeles Times which broke the story on Tuesday.

Just like Marilyn Monroe who strips down as a the first Playmate of the magazine back in December 1953, Moss will be baring it all for a full-frontal spread. The photoshoot will be under the capable hands of Marcus Pigott and Mert Atlas.

The 60th anniversary issue will feature the catwalker sporting the signature velveteen bunny ears as she wears a sexy French cuffs, silk stockings and a "come-hither smile" that will give playboy fans a run for their money.

Moss started her career in the early 90's and is one of the world's top earning models in the business. Moss reportedly earned $20 million in 2012 thanks to her high profile compaigns such as Bulgari, Calvin Klien, Dolce & Gabbana and many others.
